These are just a few concerns that I found in the article SCOOP, if you like you could check it out for yourself. The UN suggests that having taser guns in the country is dangerous, even if it's for the police officers who are in control of them. It is dangerous for anyone no matter who they are.
Maori party supporter Tai Tokerau says "We agree with the UN when its says that the severe pain caused by tasers could be seen as a form of torture and could even kill someone."
His commenting goes on and says that innocent peoople are on the streets as well and to have police officers armed with the taser guns is dangerous even if the police are not using them. Then he says that the "Prime Minister needs to listen to what the United Nations Committee Against Torture is saying".
